Handmade book commissioned by the M-Shed covered in embroidered silk.

Here, we offer you the chance to discover a range of techniques and materials to express yourself creatively, in a safe, supportive and friendly environment. Making things is one of the best way to improve well-being, since it brings a sense of achievement, while keeping away negative thoughts.

Here’s an example of the things you could be creating in one our well-being arts workshops; a scrapbook telling about a story of your choice. It could be yours, your pet’s, from someone in your family or from a person you admire.

Art journal page

To create ‘your story’, you’re free to use any materials available. Our facilitator will guide you in the creative process, while showing and teaching you techniques, and giving you advice.

In addition to being able to freely and creatively express yourself, this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people. Arts for well-being is an effective way to reduce negative thoughts and states of minds. However, if you’re already feeling great and happy in your life, why not coming for the fun of it, and for the chance of handcrafting something meaningful to you?

Whichever category you fit in, whatever you do, or wherever you’re coming from, come and try our arts for well-being workshops. Here’s your chance to relax, take time out, and learn how to use creativity to de-stress.

Just drop in, no need to book!  No previous experience needed. All tools & equipment provided. Teas and Coffees available. Donations welcome. Places limited to 8, on a first come first serve basis.

Supper Club

Once a month (usually on the last Friday), we host a supper club which uses donated food from our sponsors, Sainsbury’s and FairShare, to cook up a delicious two-course meal. This gives people on a low income the chance to participate in a restaurant experience, which they might otherwise not be able to afford. Our supper club is also a platform for aspiring chefs to share their skills  and showcase their talents.

The evening allows local residents to support the charity raising much needed funds, to enable us to continue our work.

Should you have any dietary needs or allergies, please make us aware upon booking.

If you’d like to attend one of our suppers, please contact us.
